Keepin It All in the Family

I've seen and heard of just using the same 20W-50 from your oil change and pouring that into the Primary case. I'm more a fan of dedicated oil that has different weights and viscosity for different jobs. So far, I've had my primary serviced twice for factory optional recalls at a Harley dealer and they've both times said my stuff was in great shape. I tell them I use this Primary fluid from Amsoil and they say keep on doing what I'm doing because it's working great.

A must for your V-Twin

I use this in all primary cases,it's a heavy oil than the motor oil and designed for the primary and clutch

If you own a bike you need this oil

As a engine builder and racer if you own a Harley-Davidson you need Amsoil in all of your bike, cooler running smooth shifts and better clutch feel.

Clutch improver

In the first 600 miles on my 2007 Ultra Classic I was bothered by a constantly moving friction point with my clutch. Sometime it would grab. Sometimes it would work just fine. Sometimes it felt like it was slipping. Harely had put their 20W-50 in the primary case at the assembly plant! At the 600 mile service I changed to Amsoil Primary Fluid. Problems solved. I've had perfect clutch action for 58,400 miles. Auto tensioner ware block looks new too. (I just changed the auto tensioner to a manual adjuster because the auto one made the primary chain too tight).

This is the best primary oil you can buy period. It helps quiet the whole clutch assembly and makes for smooth clutch operation.

Synthetic V-Twin Primary Fluid

I have used this primary fluid in all my Harleys without any issues. No clutch slippage either like some people think will happen because they say "it's too slippery". Very minimal metallic dust on the drain magnet. Do not hesitate to use this product.
