I was looking for 10-30 for my BBC 492, and seen this. I noticed that it will be replaced but still, I wanted to try it out. I have been using AMSOIL in all my vehicle's and various weights to see how they work. I'm well aware that this one will work fine just have try it out.

It's makes my engine run cooler, stronger and smoother. The longevity between oil changes is one of the main reason that got it. The other my engine runs really good with it.

My 6.0 powerstroke starts rough but when I used Amsoil it starts right up I would highly recommend this oil

In my opinion, Amsoil is the best oil on the market. I have it in every vehicle I own including my lawn mower and tractor.

Purchased this oil to change the oil in a Farm Tractor that I recently purchased. It is a Kubota 6cyl and holds 14 quarts of oil. In my opinion, Amsoil is the best oil on the market.

I never gave much thought to how much one brand of oil could differ from another of equal weight. My 6.0l diesel ran quieter, smoother and I dare say more efficient. I'm hooked.

I stick to 10w-30 OEC for my flat tappet motors.
This new AMSOIL formulation gives me about 5psi more than 5W-40 Rotella T6 and about 8psi more than 0w-40 Rotella T5 at hot idle.
Even though it's rated 10w, the cold pour is similar to most 5W and 0w synthetics, and its high TBN & viscosity at 100 spec out great.
Should be outstanding at resisting shear & fuel dilution, time will tell.

Thank you Chip. AMSOIL has formulated the Z-ROD Line of oils in 10W-30 and 20W-50 for older flat tappet engines. These formulations have a higher content of ZDDP. This meets API SL and earlier specifications. For racing applications look to AMSOIL Dominator. Replied by Tech Admin
