    [1] Ford TSB 05-16-6 states that SAE 10W-30 is acceptable
    to use in operating temperatures from -1 C (31 F) to
    32 C (90 F).SAE 10W-30 is the preferred viscosity if the
    operating varies from -20 C (-4 F) to -1 C (31 F).
    [2] Ford TSB 05-16-6 states that the shown viscosity is
    acceptable to use in the shown temperature range.
    [3] Ford TSB 05-16-6 states that SAE 15W-40 is acceptable
    to use in operating temperatures from -12 C (11 F) to
    -1 C (31 F). SAE 15W-40 is the preferred viscosity if the
    operating is above -1 C (31 F).
    [4] The recommendation has been updated from MSP to MLV per Ford
    Special Service Message 21114 which states the following:
    All 2003-2008 F-Super Duty, 2003-2005 Excursion, 2004-2008
    E-series and 2006-2008 LCF vehicles equipped with a
    torqshift automatic transmission should be serviced with
    Mercon LV automatic transmission fluid in place of Mercon
    SP. This includes top off as well as fluid replacement.
    Mixing Mercon LV and Mercon SP in the torqshift
    automatic transmission is acceptable. Use Mercon LV
    transmission fluid to service vehicles equipped with a
    torqueshift automatic transmission. When adding or
    replacing transmission fluid in a vehicle with a torqshift
    automatic transmission, use Mercon LV fluid.
    [5] Synthetic oil is required.
    [6] Add 8 oz. (236 ml) of Additive Friction Modifier XL-3 or
    equivalent formulated to meet Ford Spec EST-M2C118-A
    for complete refill of limited slip axles.
    [7] This specification has been updated from Mercon to
    XL-12 Specification Number ESP-M2C166-H or equivalent
    [8] Hydraulic Brake Fluid, DOT 3
    [9] Per TSB 07-1-7 Mercon V can now be used to service power
    steering systems in which the original recommendation
    was Mercon

Summary: On certain pickup trucks and chassis cab vehicles equipped with 5. 4l or 6. 8l gasoline engines, the fuel jumper line may have an incorrect end form. .

Conequence: The fuel line may separate at the connection to the main fuel bundle. If the fuel line separates, an operator may notice a gasoline odor and/or fuel on the ground, loss of power, and the engine will eventually stall. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire. .

Remedy: Dealers will install an external retention clip at the fuel jumper line to the main fuel bundle connection. The recall began on june 20, 2005. Owners may contact ford at 1-800-392-3673. .

Summary: Truxxx is recalling 338 aftermarket replacement welded 3" lift blocks for rear suspensions, part no. 206073, included in suspension kit nos. 108035 and 108036, sold between july 26, 2007 and march 4, 2008, for use on ford my 2005-2008 f-250 superduty 4x4 light trucks. Compressive forces of the welded lift blocks resulting from foreseeable and excess vehicle payloads as well as over-tightening of the u-bolts during installation may distort the blocks, reducing the intended clamping force of the u-bolts. .

Conequence: This could allow possible shifting and damage to the rear drive shaft and axle. .

Remedy: Truxxx will notify customers/installers and will replace affected welded lift blocks with either non-welded aluminum or cast iron blocks free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on or about april 16, 2008. Owners may contact truxxx at 1-800-381-8320. .
