Edmonton Police Service Teaches Teens What Life in the Fast Lan is Really About

1972 Plymouth Duster - Police department using Amsoil synthetic motor oil to win drag races

The Edmonton Police Service race their AMSOIL lubricated 1972 Plymouth Duster at drag strips across Canada, promoting safe, responsible driving by teens.

According to Constable Terry Innes, AMSOIL is responsible for fast times and continued success for the team.

"Before we began using AMSOIL motor oil, our best time in the quarter-mile was 11.28 seconds," said Innes. "now with AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Racing Oil added to the 360 c.i. small block engine, we consistently run 11.20 seconds. There were no other changes done to the engine to achive this time. We became further believers in the products when the exhaust seat on the cylinder head broke away and caused severe damage to the engine. Even though metal and water spread throughout the engine, the rings and bearings were still protected. A lesser oil wouldn't have stood up to that kind of abuse."
