4x4 Fleet Testing

I did private fleet testing on my 4X4 Dodge Ramchargers, with 318 and 360 engines, mixed automatic transmissions, and 4 speed manual transmissions.

First, I installed Zemco cruise computers, with the driveshaft sensor odometers, and calibrated them against many measured miles (Highway Patrol marked mile for speeders, on major highways), mileage markers, on interstates.

The computers reported time, distance, gallons per hour, miles per gallon instant, and over the long haul.

I saw increases of about 8% overall, in fuel economy. Over a period of 8 years. I know that Amsoil works!

I also know that Mobil1 is mostly regular petroleum oil, and 50% of that are the viscosity index improvers, anti-foaming agents, detergents, etc., none of which help lubricate the engine!

Anyone who endorses Mobil 1 for any kinds of savings will be sadly disappointed by their maintence bill on a single vehicle, or a fleet! It won't change from what it was using regular petroleum oil!

I saw a further savings of about 5% when all drivetrain lubricants were switched over to synthetic Amsoil. You don't have to believe me, you can record each and every fuel fill, and average the increased economy of Amsoil over the ownership period for your vehicles...

Another large savings with Amsoil is in labor, and maintenance, for scheduled service of lubricants, and for unscheduled work due to inept 'mechanics'. The less often you let the goof balls over at the 'instant' lube shops touch your prideNjoy, the less chance that they will screw up your vehicle!

My OTHER reason I like, and use Amsoil, is that it is the ONLY provider of lubricants who warrants my equipment against damage when I properly use their products!
